Update on the Heinz Update

Hello all and Praise God. I wanted to update to fill you in as Paul Harvey might say “The rest of the story” So we did find out about the placement of Michael and KK and we found that the other family was selected. We found out this news last Friday, so I am sorry for not posting this sooner but I am sure you can understand.

We are doing well. God really has shown up in a big way. Cameron had an out of town Soccer trip last weekend so we found out the news on Friday and Saturday we were headed to the tournament. It was a good time to be away, to be together and to enjoy time as a family. It really helped us to see that this is just a part of our journey and our adoption story, and years later down the road we will look back and see how this really grew us and just showed us again how it is so good to be totally dependant and to run to God and let Him take care of you. We had our ups and downs and for me personally the hardest part was just trying to “categorize” it. It certainly is a loss, but it is not a catastrophic loss like a death or anything. It’s hard to get upset when you loose something that you never really had. But at the same time we really had invested our hearts into this. It’s not quite like trying to have a baby either where you just say oh well; we will just try again next month. We will try again but don’t really know when our “next month” is going to come. But all that being said we are good, the kids were upset but took it well, probably better then Jenn and I did. We are moving forward and not trying to play the “what if” game about what happened with Michael and KK. We really do appreciate all of your prayers and thoughts for us during all of this and we do continue to pray for Michael and KK and are so glad that they now will have a “forever family” that really is the goal, to get kids to families. So in that respect it was a success, now we just have to wait for the kids that God wishes to place in our home, So please continue to Pray for us in that. Thank you again so much and I try to keep updating you as we continue to move along the process. Thanks, for His glory, Mitch
