Sandwiches in St. Augustine

Just when you think you are so close to the Lord in your walk with him, wow, he takes you to another level. The latest way in which he has me growing is the reason for this letter. He has called me to put lunches together and hand them out to the needy in the West King street area of St. Augustine, FL. Those of you that may be familiar with the St. Augustine area may not even be familiar with this area in less you happened to travel through it by mistake. I just started up this ministry, The plan is and has been so far to put together Brown paper lunch bags with: A sandwich (Meat and Cheese) a drink (water or juice) a snack (cheese crackers) and a dessert (cookie pack) along with a scripture verse on a card. I am kind of doing this on my own with help from some college students in our small group. I have really been facing some harsh spiritual warfare since beginning this. In the first week on the day I was scheduled to go out I was flossing my teeth and cracked a filling and had to get a new filing put in. The second week we were all scheduled to go and the night before both my son and I came down with some kind of illness that had us throwing up for the entire day. Thankfully, in both those weeks we rescheduled for the next day and it went wonderfully. A true blessing to all who gave and received.

I am trying to make this a consistent thing where we go out each Thursday at lunch. I would like to more days each week but financially right now all I can do is Thursday. I would really like to ask that you pray for us in this ministry throughout your week but especially on or before each Thursday, since that seems to be the time that satan tries to trip us up. Thanks to all of you. For His glory, Mitch
