St. Patrick's Day Update
Hello Everyone, Just wanted to drop a line and give an update on the Sandwiches. Praise God this week, for the first time, we were able to go out on the original day that we had planned to go out on. Thank you for the prayers. I am sure that is the only reason it was allowed to go smoothly. I feel like we are making real progress for Christ in this community. We are starting to build relationships with “Regulars.” God, I believe, is beginning to soften hearts. We are seeing people that, a few weeks ago would turn us down and not talk to us, are not only accepting the lunch from us, but talking to us and asking why we are out here doing this. God has made it clear to me since he placed this on my heart that consistency is going to be what will change hearts. Any secular person can go hand out lunch and feel good for one day, but it is going to take the heart of Christ to be obedient and consistent. This is why I write to you, I need you to continue to pray for me and for the others doing this with me. As I wrote earlier there is someone out there that DOES NOT want us to be doing this and will try anything to stop it, so I come boldly for all of us and ask for your continued prayer and support. Please feel free to share this with anyone you think would like to know about this and pray for us. (people in your church or others in your small group)
Also, if anyone out there knows anything about starting or filing for becoming a non-profit or 501(c)(3) organization please let me know what steps I need to take. I have discovered that if this ministry becomes one of those types of organizations that we can received some assistance from some local Grocery stores. This would greatly help us expand our reach in this community. Thanks.
For his glory. Mitch
