Good Friday Update

Hello all, Praise God.

We had a big week last week. There were trials to get there but we went out on Good Friday instead of our normal Thursday and the effort was truly blessed. We went into the neighborhood and it being a holiday there were more people, especially kids, out. We handed out our normal 30 lunches before we had even gotten to the block where we meet the people that asked us to pray for them. The people that asked us to pray for them got all excited when they saw our car pulling down their street. They started calling for other people to come out. I had to stop the car quick and get out and tell them that we were out of lunches, BUT WAIT we are on our way back to the store so we can put more together.

Earlier in the week we were given our first donation (Praise God) and we quickly put it to use. We went back to the store and bought enough supplies to make 30 more lunches. We were then putting the sandwiches and lunches together on the trunk of the car. As we were working we laughed and said that this is what community is all about, making sandwiches on the trunk of a car in a Winn-Dixie parking lot.

After getting the lunches together we headed back to the street where we had left off. This is where God overwhelmed us. As we were handing lunches out we really got to talking with the folks in the neighborhood, they asked us where we were from and why we were doing this? We told them, and next thing you know they were asking if we would come out and teach the word right there next week. We said SURE and made a date for next Thursday at noon right there in the same place. We would bring the word and lunches. And they would gather the people.

So all this is to take place tomorrow 4/20 at noon EST God willing. We ask for your prayers and we know that there will probably be many obstacles that try to keep us from going. Some have already started happening. This is why I write to you. Your prayers have made a big difference in this ministry and I ask that you continue to pray, especially tomorrow. We are blessed to be able to go out and serve the Lord in this way, but there are two things we must have and that is the Lord to be with us and your prayers for us. Thanks for your support. For His glory, Mitch
