God’s Word

Hello again and Praise God for another week getting sandwiches and the word into the hands of people that need it. It was a really good week this week. It was a little trying ahead of time trying to get things ready to go out on Thursday, but God delivers. I was by myself this past week. This is the first time that this has happened, so I was a little uneasy on how things might go. Once I was able to get in the car and on the way God really pushed things forward. As I was driving it was like everybody knew who I was and what I was doing. Almost every lunch I handed out on Thursday, the person would look at me and say “ Thank you so much for doing this, I really needed this. God Bless You” You can tell that these words were heartfelt and that God is really doing a work in them through these lunches and the scripture verses that are in them.

Now for the Bible study, at first it was just me and Dolores, but as soon as I got the bibles out (new bibles, Praise God) we started drawing a crowd. The study was really good, lot of discussion and a lot of personal sharing from everyone. I am happy to report that Joe (see earlier posts) joined us in the study and really seemed to enjoy reading God’s Word. We prayed and talked for quite a while, One person asked if he could take one of the bibles to read and I said sure, I am all about getting God’s Word into the hands of people that will read it.

Something that I have learned through doing this is, don’t underestimate the power of God’s Word. I learned that my job and calling in this is to simply get God’s Word into the hands of people. God will take it from there.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:14

I thank you again for your prayers and ask that you keep praying for us. For His Glory, Mitch

May 23rd, 2006 at 5:37 am Mitch, I’m not sure you’ll remember me but we spoke briefly before the start of this 13 week EE training. What a wonderful ministry you have started. I would like to suggest that you speak with Randy Wood to see if it would be ok to include the “Partners in Growing” booklet in your lunch sacks or the little green book “Do you Know”. Each of them give an outline of the gospel and would help nourish the seed you are planting. Keep up the good work. Isa. 40:31 They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. God bless you and your ministry, Frank
