Life change through the Word
Hello all,
Praise God for another week of the Sandwich Ministry. This week we had a friend of the family visiting with us and she got to help prepare the sandwiches that we take out. I was not on my own this week handing them out, Greg was available and gracious to come out and lend a hand. Greg and I started our “rounds” at the convenient store where the “Crooks” hangout as John John likes to say. I feel God is slowly opening up doors of the hearts of the people that we see there. We then went to where the bible study takes place on the street. And there were some of our faithful waiting for us as well as new faces (just what we like to see). The study went really well. Each week the conversation really seems to get going more and more. This week as we started in one verse, the discussion really got going and the people started asking us to jump around and read various verses. I am so pleased with this. These sandwiches and this ministry have really become a springboard for really getting into and discussing God’s Word. At the bottom of this Blog entry I have a list of the passages that we read.
I am so thankful for all the prayers. It truly is amazing to see God at work through something as simple as making sandwiches and handing them out to people. We are beginning to see life change first hand in both the people that we are serving as well as the people that are serving along side of me (as well as myself). I thank you so much for your support in this ministry. I encourage you to read through the verses below, and/or pass this blog along to a friend or neighbor that might be encouraged by it. Thank you again. For His Glory, Mitch

May 30th, 2006 at 7:42 pm Hey Mitch…Mom lead me to your website (through your Grandma) and WOW!!!! I am sooo excited about your fire for the Lord!! How awesome!!! This ministry is just what the Lord calls us to do and that is to be fishers of men and bring the lost to Christ. I too work with “financially challenged” folks and it is so awesome to watch God move in their lives and mine for that matter! I will pray for your ministry, thanks for sharing. Trusting Christ alone, Kara (your cousin)
