Mitch?….we don’t need no stinkin’ Mitch

Hello all and Praise God. The sandwich ministry passed a milestone this week. It was done completely without me for the first time. But as my Uncle Joe says, God is Good all the time. It may have been done without me this week but it was not done without God that is for certain. I really want to lift up Don and Tara Guernon and David and Leah Beck for listening to God’s Call and being obedient to Him. I know that lives were blessed because they were obedient to the call from God. I want everyone to know that just because they were obedient doesn’t mean that they were treated to Milk and Honey along the way. They had adversity and were tested, but in the end, and I will say it again; God is Good all the time. David told me that “Don and Tara really took the bull by the horns and stepped up.” They had a very good discussion of Psalm 35; it was so good in fact that they stayed in Psalm 35 the whole time. I also want to thank Wendy’s for providing the lunches this week.

Also this week, I really got a glimpse of how encouraging the sandwich ministry and the blog is worldwide (or at least in Illinois) I really can’t believe how God is using a ministry that is so local, to be an encouragement and to minister people around the nation and the globe. I believe it gives a very small peek as to how BIG and Awesome God really is. Satan likes to keep us quiet and make us think that we are alone in things and that nobody else feels the way that we feel. Satan does it to me a minimum of twice a week, he does it more than that, but these are two that I can almost come to count on. Once on Thursday morning and again right before I write the blog update. He tells me that nobody out there wants to get another “junk, mass email” from me each week. But the Good News is that God wants us to share and be in community with one another. So God gives me the Grace to press on.  I write these blog updates and send it out to all of you. After that I really don’t know or see what God is doing with it. That is why I would like to ask you, that if this has been an encouragement to you to share it with us in the comments. I know it would be an encouragement to not only me but to everyone else that reads. Thank you all for your continued prayer and support. For His Glory, Mitch

Please know that I enjoy reading the updates each week and it allows me to see that satan is being confronted and defeated in the Sandwhich Ministry. May God bless and keep you in the palm of His hand and keep you and yours safe. God Bless You, Colleen Rush

July 15th, 2006 at 1:54 pm This IS a wonderful answer to pray for not only the people you are serving (and those who do the serving) but it is a great encouragement to me and those I share it with here in MD! You have no idea how proud I am of you that God is working through you and your helpers! God IS amazing and He will work so much good from all you are doing. And I am glad that God gives you the clarity you need to not listen to the devil and his lies. I am glad that you have been blessed to see them for what they are! God is with you, we pray for that. And where ever you and whatever you do, God is there!
