A time for Prayer

Hello all, Praise God. There are a lot of exciting developments going on with the Sandwich ministry, but all those things are going to have to wait to be told. This week I am going to pause from the normal. It is with a heavy heart that I write this weeks’ blog. We got to the Bible study this week and were met with some very sad news. John John’s daughter, Sabrina, who has been to the bible study before with her husband, is missing. Sabrina was last seen Friday, August 18, 2006. John John saw her that day and is used to seeing her pretty much everyday. The husband reported her missing on Tuesday Aug 22. Then was arrested on Wednesday Aug 23 for domestic violence incident from Aug 13 where Sabrina was the victim. Police do not know if the two things are related. I learned most of this info from this linked news report. Click Here. We have been reaching out to John John and praying with him and for him and Sabrina. Without me being a minister or a police officer, this is the only real help that I can offer, is to just be there in his time of need. I write this all solely for the purpose of getting your prayers on this situation. John John puts on the front of being pretty strong, but about six years ago he lost his son in an accident and that was one comment he did make to me was, “My baby boy was taken and now my baby girl, what is next?” So I know he is hurting. I don’t know for sure if Sabrina knows the Lord. She has been to church through her life but no one really knows someone else’s heart except God. I just want you to pray for all these things. Pray for John John that he may be comforted God with the Peace that surpasses understanding. Pray for Sabrina that if she is alive, that she be found and returned, and if she is no longer living here on earth that, at some point in her life, she gave her heart over to the Lord.

Also if you are not sure of where you stand or what will happen to you when you die remember that God loves you. He loves you and me so much …that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In other words, we have all missed the mark. But if we will admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, God is faithful and true to His word and will forgive us and wash us clean from everything wrong that we’ve ever done (see 1 John 1:9). If you have never invited Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, I invite you to do so now. The Bible promises that when you pray a prayer like the one below from your heart, you will experience a new life in Christ. Simply read it aloud and mean it from your heart. Say:

Father, I come to You just as I am. There is nothing I can do to earn salvation I cannot work my way into a right relationship with You. The Bible says that we are saved by grace through faith as a gift from You. I confess that I have sinned against You and others. I ask You to forgive me and wash me clean with the precious, life-giving blood of Jesus Christ, Your Son. I believe that He died for me—He took my sin upon Himself and died on the cross for me. And I believe that He was raised from the dead, giving me power over the enemy. Jesus, I ask You to come live inside of me. I don’t understand everything about being a Christian, but I invite You into my life to help me learn daily how I am to live. Thank You, Father, for Your gift of restoration and eternal life. I am so grateful for Your love and mercy. In Jesus’ name, amen.

John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; 1 John 1:9; 4:14-16; 5:1,12,13.

If you have just prayed this prayer, please let me know so I can pray for you and your new walk with Christ. You can email me mitch@mitchheinz.com or call me 904-315-2725. This will stay confidential between you and I. I only want to be a resource for you to help you out in any way that you might need at this important time in your life.
I thank you all for all your continued prayer support of this ministry and just ask that you continue. For His Glory, Mitch
