A pat on the back
Hello All and Praise God this week. I know the blog is behind this week but with good reason. God has blessed the blog with a new home here on the new sandwich mission website. Feel free to look around. There are still some finishing touches that need to be done but that will all happen soon. I pray that you are well. As for this week doing the sandwiches we had a very encouraging week. Pat and his team met and prayed with quite a few people (some new faces as well) and handed out sandwiches on Wednesday. On Thursday I went out with Christina, Tony and Josh. Josh has been going on Wednesday and wanted to check out Thursday. One of the few people that has been able to experience both. We had our group study on Thursday and I am excited to announce that we are starting to see people participating in the study that previously had declined to come to the study. God is moving in the hearts of people and He has us right where He wants us to be a light and an opportunity for these people that He is calling.
Jerome was sharing that he feels so lifted up when we have our study but that Satan just lies in wait for him to leave the group and then he pounces on him because he knows that he is weak when separated from the study. I ask that you keep Jerome in your prayers. We did not see Glenda at the study so we went to her house and delivered lunches to her so that she could get them to the people that she delivers them to. (Miss Gussie, etc.) We did find her at home and she was so thankful that we came. She still has no transportation so she was sad that she had missed out on the study. We went over what we had talked about at the study and prayed with her. I ask that you pray for her also and her car. She never complains at all, but I know that a lot of people depend on her and with her car broke down she just can’t help them out. She knows the verse in
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who Him, who have been called according to his purpose.
She has faith and is such a blessing to me and everyone she is around. I just pray that it is soon so that she can go back to serving others the way that she has in the past. She was even speaking while we were there about how what we are doing is such a blessing and how she “knows” these people that we are serving and that she can see change in them, in their hearts and in their actions. She attributes it all to God working through us to bring sandwiches and the Word.
I am going to stop right there for this week because it doesn’t get any better than that. To hear that God is creating Life change in people through the ministry that He has called you to do. I don’t think I have ever gotten just a boost of encouragement before. And this encouragement is not just for me but to everyone that has ever been out serving sandwiches, made sandwiches, sent money to this ministry. This pat on the back is for you also. And if you have been reading about this ministry and God has put it on your heart to help out. I ask you to put feet to your faith and take the step to be a part of this is some way. Lives are changing and God wants you to help. For His Glory, Mitch
