Broken cars, joyful hearts, and t-shirts...
who could script this stuff?

Hello, Praise God. A lot of things happening this week, so I will just jump right into things. I still have no word on Sabrina. Continue to keep her in your prayers. Also Jenn and I were unable to save the sandwich car. We were able to fix everything externally and cosmetically and thought that everything was ok. Then after driving it a few days, a leak developed coming from the transmission, and well long story short, it’s an old car and not worth the money needed to fix it. I am a little sad, not for the money but because this mission started in that car, and for a short time, the car was a very important part of this mission. When people first got to know me, that is how they would recognize me. The car would round the corner and you would hear, “Hey the sandwich man is here.” So Jenn and I are looking for a replacement for the sandwich car.

Pat went out with his crew on Wednesday as usual. They are really becoming a central part of the neighborhood over there. Not only are they going over and handing out sandwiches and clothes and praying with people. Pat and Josh really care very deeply for the people they are serving. They go each week and just hang out talk and listen and before they have known it hours have gone by. Pat and Josh are truly spreading and showing God’s love and having the time of their life while doing it. They are actually doing what everyone says they would, “If I only had the time” I have to tell you between school, work, projects and all other activities. Pat and those guys really don’t have the time. They have made the time. They made God a priority in their life and they have committed to making the time. And I know they are being blessed along with everyone they are touching. I just want to lift them up and thank them for what they are doing. God is creating live change through them and what they are doing. Thank you.

On Wednesday night, I had Kathleen Moran drop off the sandwiches to me that her small group had put together for Thursday delivery. I have to say that through this ministry I have come into contact with many people, but I have not yet met anyone who has had as much overflowing joy for helping out by making sandwiches. Kathleen was so joyful. It was not like an over the top thing where she was bouncing off the walls or anything but just a way about her that you could just see and feel the joy of her heart just spilling over into her face, her walk, her actions. It was amazing, it was tangible, you could feel it, and it was pure. It was not for any gain or for show, it was just pure joy, the kind that you only get from serving the Lord. Thank you Kathleen, I know you did not mean to but it really was an inspiration and it picked me up at a time that I needed it. I thank the Lord for stirring that in your heart.

So a pretty big Wednesday that always makes me wonder what Thursday will bring. We set out with the sandwiches from Kathleen and her group. We got to the study and there were a lot of new faces. Which we always like to see. We got down to business and studied John 9. Which I highly recommend to go through slowly, when you get a chance, I pray that you read it really searching for what God might speak to you through it. During the discussion Mike and Chris met up with the group. They were specifically looking for Glenda. I had no idea about RosaLoves before this. Mike filled me in real quick. I encourage you to read up on it through the link. I was blown away. Basically Mike and Chris started an organization that makes t-shirts to raise money for certain specific needs. Glenda and her story is one of the first two stories and t-shirts featured. They were there showing Glenda her shirts for the very first time. Mike actually gave me one as well and gave me the privledge to model it for Glenda.

I really don’t know what to say. God is really just pressing on and working through so many people to bring change. It is wonderful to see. I encourage you to keep praying for this ministry. The reaches of which only God knows. So stay tuned and find out how God will be moving next. Isn’t real life so much better than television. I mean who could script this stuff. For His Glory, Mitch
