Looking back and giving thanks

Just stop and think how amazing is God. I was struck this past week as I was standing on the street on Wednesday around noon. I was gazing down the street looking at over 60 people gathered together to give thanks. To see people of all ethnic, age, gender, economic backgrounds, talking and enjoying each others company, playing cards, playing dominos, watching kids share their toys and play together. It was then that it really just hit me how good God is. How He has created this thanksgiving all from nothing. Thinking back to a year ago when most of these people did not even know one another, to now where a lot of people are sitting back talking as if they have been friends for a lifetime.  How He came into each ones heart and urged them to be there on this day. How He urged people and they obeyed Him this past year to just GO and DO and start building these relationships. And how He urged people to COME and HEAR and receive from Him, His blessings. I am so thankful to be a part of this work that God is doing.

Well after a lot of anticipation we gathered together to sing and pray. It was such a cool time to just be a part of. Please take a look at the pictures below that Pat was able to take.

Now this was all on Wednesday. So on Thursday we had a smaller group that went. It was me, Jenn and my mom. There were not a lot of people around but we were able to hand out all the lunches that we brought. And the people that were there were so thankful that “we were so dedicated to still come, even on Thanksgiving Day” is what Glenda said. That meant a lot to me and I was glad for the time to just spend in a smaller group on a more personal level. Praise God for He is Good all the time. I pray your Thanksgiving was a good and thankful one. For His Glory, Mitchh
